This program is the perfect opportunity for you to get out on your first overnight hiking trip, or work to prepare yourself for a longer or more remote expedition. You will learn and refine packing and movement skills, work by yourself and within a group setting to set up and take down camp, and the trip will give you an idea of what to expect on a longer expedition. The program is designed to provide excellent instruction in a relaxed and enjoyable setting moving through Frontenac Provincial Park.

We focus on getting you comfortable camping and travelling in the wilderness – we will help you get the kinks out of your packing systems, talk gear selection and preference, and introduce the Black Feather style of backpacking travel. After the clinic you’ll be ready to head out backpacking on your own or try one of our longer expeditions!

This clinic is perfect for both beginners and hikers with more experience. It is also a great way to introduce a friend, colleague, or family member (or all of the above!) to trekking.
